Contents

You can use the Contents feature to browse through the Table of Contents, and view the essays and tables. The Contents tab is displayed by default when you access the Historical Statistics of the United States Millennial Edition Online site.

Indexes

You can use the Index to search for essays and tables either by using index terms or contributor names. Click the first letter, or first two letters of a word or name to view the essay or tables.

Search

 The Advanced Search includes filtering options to criteria such as: only in essays, only in tables, series ID,DOI, footnotes, and citations. You can also save your search criteria to Favorites tab for later use. Boolean operators and partial matching are supported, as are filtering by year range, Part and Chapter.

Favorites

Use Favorites to bookmark your search parameters, essays and tables.

Essays

Introductory essays provide a guide to the data and historical trends. Essays also contain a list of references that can be consulted for more detail.

You can use the Essay Contents link to navigate through the essays. You can save or bookmark essays for future reference. The PDF link allows you to view, print and email selected essays.

Tables

Tables contain not only statistical data, but associated documentation and contributor names. The tables can be downloaded in Excel for easy charting and mathematical manipulation. The accompanying documentation is provided in HTML format. You can customize tables according to your interests and research needs. Data can be presented in colorful line, bar or scatter chart forms.
